the illustrated nails 2013 no: 12 | Pale And Studded (UPDATED)

,

I am way too excited to share this nail art post to you all! this is my very first attempt of the skittlette technique. Okay, because I finished the instructions already, i will end my blabbering here and take you guys straight to the tutorial ;)

PS: Skittlette diagram still on process, will re-update this post again ASAP

 mint nail polish
 baby pink nail polish
silver frosted nail polish + glittery nail polish .
 teal or green bullion beads.
small tip dotting tool or toothpick ;)
 detail brush
white acrylic pain or nail polish
your trusty base coat and top coat ;)

start by applying base coat to protect your natural nails.
once your base coat has dried, start painting them with our base colors.
mint green for the pinky, point finger and baby pink polish for the ring finger and a frosted silver polish for the middle finger.

let us begin by doing the mint studded nails :)

ready your top coat, your teal bullion beads and a small dotting tool or a toothpick.
begin by sliding a straight, downward line of the top coat from the left or from the right of your nail.
slowly add the bullion beads one by one in a straight position, don't forget to leave a gap on each bead *wink*

continue the process to cover the whole nail.
do this to all mint based nails ;)

 done! ^___^

now, let's do the accent nail.
after applying two generous coats of your baby pink nail polish. apply a thin coat of your favorite topcoat.

grab your detail brush or a small striping brush and your white acrylic paint.
dilute the paint in water, to make it much easier to work with .
start drawing your zigzag stripes at the top of your accent nail.

ditto the process until you reach the bottom part of the nail ;)

 middle finger ready?
after your silver frosted nail polish has dried. apply another coat to make the color more opaque.

( let's pretend that this is silver T_T)

put your sunglasses on 'cause this next step is way too shiny!hihi
grab and paint your favorite silver glitter polish on top of your silver frosted nails.
layer as many you want until you are happy with the intensity :)
i applied mine with 4 coats!

let everything dry completely and apply at least two coats of top coat to protect your nails from chippin'!
^______^
