REVIEW: NIVEA aqua effect mattifying toner

                          18 minutes more to go and its Monday! Yep, and yet I am here typing, I should probably be snoozing right now, but sorry, I can't sleep--so I thought I should finish this review....this review is going to be about the NEVIA AQUA EFFECT MATTIFYING TONER...Sounds interesting right?...The first time I heard it, I was like "Oh, so there's a toner for that?...I should get one pronto!" and then so, I purchased one, I needed to sacrifice some of my allowance just to buy the product because I really really really need the magic word "MATTIFYING" on my face badly! that word must have a magnet or something, it attracts me all the time! LOL...   

 

 PRODUCT'S APPEARANCE

 the product goes in a matte aqua green translucent tall bottle with a white cap.

 front: you can see the product's logo, the product's name and some of the sugar coated words that makes you buy the product haha ^___^V

 has a flip-oped lid, like what the usual toners have.

 when you look at this angle the opening hole for the product is way too big!

 but looking at the top, it's not! FOOLED me once! haha, the hole is just right...gives off right amount of product needed...

 the product is sold for 169 Php, roughly 170 Php...

         
             the time i bought this, i went and tried it immediately!
                 went home, removed my make up, washed my face then boom tried it....

             the first thing i noticed was, the product doesn't sting. I love the fact that it doesn't sting!
             then the scent, it kind of reminds me of the baby shampoo i used to wash my makeup brushes with...not too sweet, not to strong. I like products that has no scent or has just a slight scent to it.

             I use the product with my cotton rounds before, now I used it with my recently purchased facial cotton puffs ^___^ they're so cute together!

what the product promises: stated in the back part of the product...

 TONES THE SKIN DEEPLY AND REMOVES RESIDUES: I will give this statement a yes...Let's be real, washing your face with soap or facial wash does not necessarily remove all the dirt especially make up!...Honestly I am also using this as a makeup remover, particularly on the eyes!   removing liquid liners can sometimes be a pain in the as*, but with this, it comes of like as if you're using a makeup remover...(though the product says: avoid the eye area, i'm just stubborn! but, it didn't irritated my eyes naman ^___^)

here's my proof! *wink*

 REDUCES EXCESS SEBUM AND OIL TO CONTROL SHINE WITH ITS MATTIFYING FORMULA: Yes, it reduces sebum and oils, but it doesn't leave the skin matte at all, maybe it's because it does not have alcohol in it, which i think is good but, it doesn't leave my skin shine-free...NOTE: what i meant about shine free is the face still looks shinny but, it's not oily looking kind of shine... 

 MAINTAINS THE NATURAL MOISTURE BALANCE OF THE SKIN AND REVITALIZES WITH ITS FORMULA: Ah huh, it does moisturizes the skin, but the time i used it every night before going to bed, then when i woke up, i noticed slight break outs on my T zone...The non-alcoholic formula is kind of stopping the production of oil, but still traps it under the pores which i thought the cause of the break outs...So, instead of using it at night, I use the product in the morning, before applying make up.

                  i will rate this product 7/10...for me it does 70% of what the product promises. though it did not mattify my skin that well but, it did reduced the oils unlike before...Still, you guys can always give this product a try and maybe it will work well on your skin type ^________^
