RE-POST: DIY: bow clips

~ Hi Everyone! :))

                       So, it's 12-21-12. Lots of people on the net kept on talking about "the end of the world" but,

and you know what? My world would end if I'd not update this blog, hihi .

So, I am going to post one of the things my draft's been holding for quite a time now.

 It isn't utterly a "NEW" DIY. Nonetheless, I still want to share it to you guys...PLEASE? :)) 

Maybe you've already seen hundreds of tutorials on making a bow and maybe this is the 101st on your list and now that I'm not making any sense, let's just proceed to the step-by-step :D

BTW here are the things you'll be needing ;)

~ a piece of cloth, fabric (old shirt)

~ pair of scissors 

~ needle and thread

** STEPS**

I

            ~ the first thing I did was, cut a fabric into a rectangular shape and lay it flat.

(choose a fabric that could be folded easily)

           ~ second, fold the upper and lower part of your rectangle twice, this will hide the part

that you've cut.

~ fold the upper and lower part and pull em down to the middle...like this :))

~ stitch the middle part all the way .

~ gather the sides at the middle, equally.

like so

~ please make sure to fold the sides facing where the sewed part is showing.

~ again, run the needle and thread to lock it in place *wink*

~ when done, flip it inside-out

~ and you'll have something that would look like this :D

~ now, pinch the middle part of your bow.

~ cut a thinner size of your fabric and fold the sides where you've cut.

XI

~ finally, wrap it at the middle where you have pinched and

again sew it in place, make sure to lock the tread so it won't run.

~ cut neatly. glue on some old hair clips that you have and

you are done! :))

~ here are more of the bow clips i've made, i became very much addicted to bows already! :DD

- a bow is really a cute hair accessory indeed, plus it is so easy to do.
